中国要发展长江流域

China's State Council recently said that it will continue to develop areas along the Yangtze river that include 11 provinces and cities, such as Shanghai, Chongqing, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.

The total GDP of the area accounts more than 40 percent of the country’s GDP. China will improve the transportation system in the region, including railways, roads, airlines and water ways. It will also upgrade pipelines in the areas to ensure oil and gas supplies.

The Yangtze River Delta area will also act as a platform to deepen cooperation with Southeast Asian, Middle East and other overseas regions.
