世卫组织:6070人死于埃博拉病毒

The World Health Organization, or WHO, has released its latest report on the global crisis. The report says a total of 17,145 cases have been reported with 6,070 deaths as of Wednesday. The case incidence is slightly increasing in Guinea and may still be increasing in Sierra Leone, but stable or declining in Liberia. The report says 7,312 cases have been reported in Sierra Leone as of Wednesday, with 1,583 deaths.

The report also says that Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone now have the sufficient capacity at a national level to meet both targets of isolating and treating 70% of Ebola cases and burying 70% of Ebola related deaths safely, though local variations mean governmental resources are still insufficient to stop transmission in some areas.
