澳门发现H7亚型禽流感病毒

An H7 avian flu virus has been detected in samples of poultry sold in Macao's street market. This is according to officials from Macao's Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Health Bureau.

Authorities say the chickens came from Guangdong province. All 15,000 chickens at the market have been culled as a precaution. The Macao regional government has also suspended poultry sales for three days and ordered local stalls to clean and disinfect.  Mainland departments will work with Macao to trace the source of the virus.
