世界机器人及智能装备产业大会开幕

China's biggest robot event is being held in Chengdu, the capital city of southwest China's Sichuan province.

The 3-day expo has attracted the world's top 10 robot research institutes, as well as an estimated 15,000 professionals in the field of intelligent equipment.

Industrial robots, service robots, 3D printers and a number of other advanced robotic products can be seen at the expo. According to statistics, China has one of the top robotics markets in the world, however, foreign robot companies occupy 80 percent of its market.

The expo officials say as more robot-friendly policies will be introduced in China next year, the country is moving towards an intelligent manufacturing era.

Robots are expected to become more commonly seen in all walks of life.
