美洲峰会见 奥巴马下周将与卡斯特罗“互动”

White House spokesman Ben Rhodes says that President Barack Obama will attend the Americas summit, where he will meet with Cuban leader Raul Castro.  

And it is being reported that the US State Department will recommend ending Cuba's designation as a state sponsor of terrorism, after 34 years on the list.

The Obama administration would have the final say on the decision, but the move would be another big change in relations after Obama announced in December his plans to normalize ties with Cuba.

Washington and Havana have held three rounds of talks on restoring diplomatic ties and re-opening embassies in past months, but the state sponsor of terrorism designation has proved a stumbling block.
