中石油和中石化合并属谣言

Stock prices for China's two big oil producers PetroChina and Sinopec both shot up to their 10% trading limits on Monday, on rumours that the government is planning to merge the two firms.

However, on Monday evening, both companies issued reports saying that they have not received such notification from the authorities.
