尼日利亚军队从博科圣地解救近300人
The Nigerian military said on its official Twitter account it has rescued 200 girls and 93 women from a Boko Haram stronghold. However, it said the girls abducted from their school dormitories in Chibok last April were not among them.
The group was rescued in major operations to take back the Sambisa Forest from the Islamist militant group. The operations ended with the seizure of four camps run by the militants. Weapons were seized at the camps.
Intelligence sources said the women and girls will be screened on Wednesday to determine whether they had been abducted or if they were married to the militants.
In recent months, Nigerian troops, backed by Chad, Niger and Cameroon, have taken back most of the territory previously controlled by Boko Haram.
