中国南部地区强降雨仍将持续

Heavy rainfall continues to batter large parts of southern China, with more predicted in the coming days.

The rain has been falling since Thursday, hitting Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi and Jiangxi especially hard. All of those regions have suffered repeated thunderstorms and strong winds, disrupting traffic and the daily lives of local residents.

Heavy rain and hail battered the city of Fuzhou, capital of eastern China's Fujian Province. According to the weather bureau, heavy rainfall is expected in the following days, with the temperature 1-3 degrees below average.
