日本3000人访华团抵达广州
A 3,000-strong delegation from Japan has arrived in Guangzhou in Southern China. It's the largest Japanese delegation to visit China in 15 years.
The group represents a mix of industry and politics, and is led by veteran Japanese lawmaker Toshihiro Nikai, a top executive in the ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
Nikai says the visit is aimed at improving relations and mutual trust between the two countries. Delegates include representatives of Japan's tourism and business sectors, lawmakers, and officials from local governments.
They'll also visit the capital Beijing during the 3-day visit, as well as the city of Dalian. Toshihiro Nikai is also expected to meet senior Chinese leaders, according to Japanese media. Tourism representatives hold talks with their counterparts in Chinese travel agencies.
