伊拉克公布空袭伊斯兰国镜头

Iraq has released new footage which allegedly shows government jets targeting the Islamic State militants, north of Baghdad.

The airstrikes hit ISIL positions in the district of Samara, 95 kilometers north of the capital.

In a statement, Iraq's Defense Ministry said the group had suffered "heavy losses" in the strikes, both in terms of personnel and heavy equipment.

The footage contains no indication as to when the airstrikes were carried out.
