国际足联公布最新世界排名
The updated FIFA world rankings were released on Thursday.
After a busy summer of tournaments in Europe and South America as well as world cup qualifying in Asia there have been some changes, but not so much at the top. And China's progression to the last stage of Asian world cup qualifying for the first time in 15 years sees them rise up to 81st, and 10th in the continent.
Despite losing in the final of the Copa America to Chile, Argentina remain first in the world.
Portugal are up two places to 6th after winning Euro 2016 while France jumped ten places to 7th.
Disappointing tournaments for Spain and Brazil see them move down to 8th and 9th respectively with Italy moving up two places to complete the top 10. Just behind them in 11th is Wales who jumped 15 spots thanks to their Euro heroics, two places above England who dropped to 13th.
As for Asia, there was no change at the top with Iran remaining first. China's opponents in their world cup qualifying, South Korea and Uzbekistan sit 2nd and 3rd with Japan remaining 4th.
Australia stay 59th overall and 5th in the AFC standings.
No change for Saudi Arabia in 6th or 2022 world cup host Qatar in 9th.
China in tenth are the big movers thanks to a successful year in which they still have a chance to reach the 2018 World Cup in Russia. China are in the top 10 in Asia for the first time in over a decade.
