The man that started the Linsanity craze was officially unveiled by his new team -- the Charlotte Hornets. Jeremy Lin signed a two-year deal with the Bugs, after spending last year with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Since leaving the New York Knicks in 2012, where Linsanity originated the 26-year-old hasn't lived up to the promise that he originally showed, but he's hoping he can kick-start his career in North Carolina under Hornets coach Steve Clifford.

Lin first came to prominence as a 21-year-old in the 2011-2012 season as he became one of the most famous basketball players on the planet overnight. A 25 million dollar contract with the Houston Rockets followed but the form of the previous season wasn't sustained and after a short stint with the L.A Lakers he's found himself with the Charlotte Hornets where he's confident the environment is right for him to shine again.

"The work I've put in has made me better I just don't think I've had the same fit or opportunity and that doesn't mean that I don't have a ton of areas to get better at, because I do, but I think one thing that I want to do is just kind of see how close I can get to reaching my full potential and I think in order to do that, it takes a lot of work on my end and it also takes finding the right situation and the right coach and the right system," Lin said.
