曼联已解雇范加尔
Louis Van Gaal has been sacked as the manger of Manchester United. The Dutchman leaves Old Trafford just 2 days after clinching the teams first trophy since the departure of long serving boss Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.
Their F.A. cup win wasn't enough to convince the United board he should remain in charge with the Red Devil's struggling the Premier League and without Champions league football for next season.
A statement on the clubs official site from vice Chairman Ed Woodward read "I'd like to thank Louis and his staff for their excellent work in the past two years culminating in winning a record-equalling 12th FA Cup for the club". He went on to say, " "He has behaved with great professionalism and dignity throughout his time here. He leaves us with a legacy of having given several young players the confidence to show their ability on the highest stage."
United failed to build on their promising 4th placed finish in 2015 and ended last campaign in 5th position having spent close to 300 million pounds in the 64-year-old's 2 years in charge.
Jose Mourinho is widely tipped to take of the reigns with an official announcement unveiling the Portuguese as the new manager expect this week. The former Chelsea boss has been rumoured to take over for several months after a story in the Manchester evening news suggested he was already in place to replace Van Gaal at the end of the season.
