英语替代词的用法要点

替代词主要用于替代前面出现过的名词，以避免重复。比较常见的替代词有one, the one, ones, the ones, that, those等。

1. one与the one的用法

one用作替代词主要用于替代“a＋单数可数名词”，表泛指；若需特指，则用the one。如：

If you’re buying today’s paper from the stand, could you get one for me? 如果你去报摊上买今天的报纸，给我捎回一份好吗？(辽宁卷)

The school isn’t the one I really wanted to go to, but I suppose I’ll just have to make the best of it. 这所学校虽然不是我真正想去的，但是我想我得充分利用它。(浙江卷)

注意，the one与that均可表特指，但前者只用于替代单数可数名词，而后者则可用于替代可数或不可数名词。

2. ones与the ones的用法

ones主要用于替代复数名词，表泛指；若需特指，则用the ones。如：

He has made a lot of films, but few good ones. 他制作了很多部电影，但很少有好的。(北京卷)

If you like cheese, go for the ones with the least fat. 要是喜欢吃奶酪，就吃脂肪含量最少的。

3. that与those的用法

that用作替代词主要用于替代“the+单数名词(可数或不可数)”，表特指。如：

His handwriting is like that of a much younger child. 他的笔迹像是一个年纪小得多的孩子的笔迹。

those用作替代词主要用于替代复数名词，表特指。如：

studying Wendy’s menu, I found that many of the items are similar to those of McDonald’s. 研究温迪的菜单，我发现有许多名目类似于麦当劳的。(浙江卷)

注意，替代词that与代词it的用法不同，it主要指前面提到的“同一”事物，而that是指前面提到的“同类”事物。同样地，替代词those与代词they用法也不同，they主要指前面提到的“同一”事物，而that是指前面提到的“同类”事物。
