英语的现在分词可以有进行式吗

英语的现在分词与动名词一样，只有一般式和完成式，但没有进行式，也就是说英语中不存在 being doing 这样的表达形式。如：

误：Being reading a book, he found a misprint. 他看书时，发现有一个地方印错了。

正：Reading a book, he found a misprint. 他看书时，发现有一个地方印错了。

误：Being walking through the park, we saw a fine flower show. 从公园穿过时，我们看到漂亮的花卉展。

正：Walking through the park, we saw a fine flower show. 从公园穿过时，我们看到漂亮的花卉展。

误：Being walking on tiptoe, I approached the little window. 我踮着脚，走近那个小窗户。

正：Walking on tiptoe, I approached the little window. 我踮着脚，走近那个小窗户。

误：Being stepping carelessly off the pazement, he was knocked down by the bus. 他不小心离开了人行道，被公共汽车撞倒了。

正：Stepping carelessly off the pazement, he was knocked down by the bus. 他不小心离开了人行道，被公共汽车撞倒了。

但是，现在分词可与助动词be一起构成进行时态，但这样一来，现在分词已不是非谓语动词，而是谓语的一部分。如：

The government is trying to keep prices down. 政府正在设法降低物价。

We’re learning to control the return of spaceships. 我们正在研究回收宇宙飞船。

The dogs are hunting for the weapon buried somewhere. 那些狗正在寻找埋在某处的凶器。

He is studying an important problem, and nothing can call away his attention. 他正在研究一个重要问题，什么也不能使他分心。
