aloud, loud与loudly的用法比较与辨析

1. 在三个词当中，aloud 只可以用作副词，不可以用作形容词，具体用法如下：

(1) aloud 强调出声：即把话说出来，而不是在心里默默地“说”，通常与动词 read, speak, think 等动词连用。如：

Children can click on a sentence to hear it read aloud. 儿童可以点击句子来听句子的录音。

Joanne, would you read the poem aloud? 乔安妮，你来念这首诗好吗？

He glanced at the letter and began to read it aloud. 他看了一下信，大声念了起来。

“What did you say?” “Oh, nothing, I was just thinking aloud.” “你说什么了？”“啊，没什么，我只是在自言自语。”

(2) 表示大声地（而不是轻声地）：通常与动词 cry, laugh, shout, call, sob 等动词连用，如：

I heard him suddenly laugh aloud. 我听见他突然大笑起来。

It was painful, and made me cry aloud. 这很痛，痛得我大叫起来。

Denis almost gasped aloud in astonishment. 丹尼斯惊得差点大叫起来。

He was pleading, almost sobbing, first silently and then aloud. 他恳求着 ，几乎要哭出来了，起先无声呜咽，后来抽噎出声。

2. loud 表示“大声”或“响亮”，可用作形容词和副词：

(1) 用作形容词。如：

The dog gave a loud bark. 那条狗大声地吠叫。

Will the firework make a loud enough bang? 焰火发出的声音足够响吗？

There was a loud bang outside the kitchen door. 厨房门外传来砰的一声巨响。

All we could hear were loud sobs, but no articulate words. 我们听到的只是大声啜泣，没有清楚的话语。

The Norwich fans gave their team a loud cheer as they trooped off the field. 当球员们列队离开赛场时，诺里奇的球迷向他们大声欢呼。

(2) 用作副词(与 loudly 同义)，一般只与动词 speak, talk, laugh, sing 等连用，且必须放在这些动词之后。如：

The noise resumed, louder than before.  噪声再起，比先前更大。

Could you speak a little louder?  你能不能说得大声点？

The birds sang louder than ever. 鸟儿比平时唱得更欢了。

3. loudly 只用作副词(与用作副词的 loud 同义)。如：

She banged loudly on the table.  她大声地敲打桌子。

She screamed as loudly as she could.  她声嘶力竭地尖叫着。

There should be a ban on talking loudly in cinemas.  戏院里应该禁止大声交谈。

She screamed loudly and two people came to her aid.  她大声呼叫，有两个人赶来帮忙。

另外，在用于比较级或最高级时，通常用 loud，而不用 loudly。如：

The Irish contingent sang loudest at the show.  爱尔兰代表团在演出中唱得最响亮。
