1. 用作副词，表示“到处都没有”。如：

It’s nowhere to be found. 哪儿也找不到它。

There was nowhere for us to go. 我们没地方可去。

若放在句首，其后接倒装语序。如：

Nowhere did he go that afternoon? 那天下午他哪里也没有去?

Nowhere will you find better roses than these. 哪儿你也找不到比这更好的玫瑰了。

2. 有时可用作名词，此时通常带有自己的修饰语。如：

The boys had nowhere to play. 这些男孩子没有地方可玩。
