catch it的意思与用法

口语中说catch it，意思是“受罚”“挨骂”，相当于be punished or scolded。如：

If I come home late, I’ll catch it from my mother. 如果我回家晚了，我妈妈会骂我。

If your father finds you here, you’ll really catch it! 要是你父亲知道你在这里，你非挨骂不可!

If the teacher sees you doing that, you’ll catch it. 要是老师发现你这样做，你会挨骂的。

If your dad finds out you’ll really catch it! 要是你老爸知道了，你肯定要挨克！

另外，有时还可表示“被打中”。如：

He caught it right in the eye. 她的眼睛被打个正着。

注：catch it主要用于英国英语中，在美国英语中多用catch hell或get it。
