六、广告语中的finger

下面这个句子是英美人非常熟悉的一条广告语，你明白它是什么意思吗？

Let your fingers do the walking. 让你的手指头替你跑腿儿吧。

从字面上看，句子的意思是“让你的手指去走路”。如果仅从字面上理解，这个句子的显然很奇怪——手指怎么能走路呢？

大家知道，英美人比较幽默，上面这个句子其实只是一种诙谐的表达，主要用于宣传电话购物或网上购物，其意为：你若想买什么东西，不必亲自跑去逛商店，只需打个电话或在网上下个订单就一切OK了——因为打电话或上网都只需用fingers，所以就有了这句有趣的广告语！
