　　1. Do you like reading?

　　Definitely! I’m an avid reader because I believe reading expands my knowledge like nothing else. Reading is totally different from all the random and scanty input we get from social media and TV.

　　2. Where do you usually read books?

　　I usually read books in bed on my phone or tablet. I like reading in bed before sleep, it helps me relax and puts my mind in another world, away from the stresses of daily life, so I enjoy reading at night time.

　　3. What places are not suitable for reading?

　　There are a number of places that are not suitable in my opinion for reading. I can’t really read on public transport because it’s too crowded… I can’t really read in the street. I find it difficult to read in the living room when my father is watching loud entertainment shows.

　　I do think that parks in summer, cafes are good places to read. I like reading in cafes, actually, and this has become more of a common habit today in China. There’s a bookshop café near my home where you can sit and read the books a bit before deciding if you want to buy one, over coffee and cakes.

　　4. Do you like to read by yourself or with others?

　　I enjoy reading by myself. It’s my quiet time alone. However, I quite like it when people read to me. My friend Martyn often reads excerpts from novels that he likes, or poems. I quite enjoy this, too.
