FINA Diving Grand Prix 2008: A good harvest for China, Germany and Australia

The sixth leg of the 14th FINA Diving Grand Prix series concluded on June 9 in Rostock, Germany, with China, Germany and Australia all reaping a good harvest. China won nine medals with five golds; Germany took seven medals (including three gold); and Australia got five medals.

Sascha Klein from Germany clinched gold with brilliant dives in the men's 10m platform and men's 10m platform synchro. He also did well in the men's 3m springboard synchro, for which he picked up silver.

Zhang Xinhua of China shined in the men's 3m springboard and men's 3m springboard synchro, grabbing gold in both events.

In the women's 10m platform and 10m platform synchro, China's Wang Hao claimed gold with her consistent and magnificent dives. Australia's Sharon Stratton finished second in the 10m platform, and her compatriot Melissa Wu also took the silver in the 3m springboard synchro. Germany took the lead in the women's 3m springboard synchro with a total of 319.89.

The next leg of the diving series will be Rome, Italy, from June 13 to June 15.
