American roster set for FIVB World Grand Prix

The roster can be changed before each weekend's competitions based on the regulations of the World Grand Prix. Lang Ping, the head coach of the team, will be using the World Grand Prix to evaluate players and choose the final roster for the 2008 Olympic Games.

The 12-player roster will feature a mixture of young and veteran players. Well-known players such as middle blockers Danielle Scott-Arruda and Heather Bown, setter Lindsey Berg and Tayyiba Haneef-Park will be in the starting lineup. Younger players on the roster include outside hitter/opposite Cynthia Barboza, middle blocker Foluke Akinradewo, outside hitters Kim Willoughby and Kristin Richards and setter Angie McGinnis.
