Seeded singles' men march on in Djarum Indonesia Super Series 2008

(BEIJING, June 19) -- Local favorite Sony Dwi Kuncoro and top-seeded Bao Chunlai of China successfully advanced to the next men's singles round of the Djarum Indonesia Super Series 2008 on June 18.

After the withdrawal of world No. 7 Taufik Hidayat, Indonesia's hope of winning the men's singles title lies mainly on the shoulders of Dwi Kuncoro, No. 6 in the world, who beat his compatriot Ari Yuli Wahyu Hartanto 2-0 on Wednesday. Bao, No. 3 in the world, achieved the same score in his match against Muhammad Roslin Hashim of Malaysia. The two are expected to have a showdown in the final.
