China wins warm-up game against young Lithuanian team

(BEIJING, June 23) -- China continued its success in pre-Olympic warm-up games on Sunday with an 87-70 defeat of Lithuania at Dongguan Gymnasium. Lithuania's team was mostly made of players under 22 years old.

The Chinese team has been hosting a series of friendly games against international teams in China recently to prepare its players for the Beijing Olympic Games. Current NBA player Yi Jianlian and former NBA player Wang Zhizhi have been fortifying the middle as China waits for NBA All-Star Yao Ming to complete post-surgery rehab. The two big men contributed 15 points and 12 points respectively in Sunday's victory over Lithuania.
