The Jamaican sprinter improved American Tyson Gay's two-year-old stadium record by 0.08s at the Crystal Palace.

Bolt once again lived up to his reputation as the "Lightning Bolt" by running the fastest 200m ever seen in Britain.

Bolt confirmed that he would like to run both the 100m and 200m races in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, but that it would be up to his coach to make that crucial decision.

On the women's side, Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica, 2004 Olympic gold medallist in the women's 200m and 2007 world champion in the 100m, won the 100m dash in 10.87 seconds in London, only 0.02 seconds away from her personal best.
