M: You know John?
你认识约翰吗？

W: Which John? Mr.Turnbow’s son?
哪个约翰？Turnbow的儿子吗？

M: Yes. I’ve read news about him in today’s paper.
是的。我在今天的报纸上看到他的新闻。

W: And he’s bright and intelligent. I’m sure he can pass the university entrance exam.

M: I wish he could too.

W: How’s your boy, Jack?

M: He’s a bit tired, you know. It often takes him a couple of hours to brush up.
