A: Sorry, I overslept. My alarm clock didn't go off this morning.
A：对不起，我睡过头了。我的闹钟今早没有响。

B: Again?

B：又没响？

A: That's right, even though I did set the alarm last night.

A：是的，可我昨晚上确实设定了。

B: Your clock never works. Perhaps you should buy a new one.
B：你的闹钟从来没有正常工作过，也许你该买个新的了。

A: Well. If it breaks down again tomorrow, I'll definitely buy a new one.
A：嗯，如果它明天还不响的话，我肯定得买个新的了。

B: Maybe by then it will be too late.
B：估计到那时候就太晚了。

A: What do you mean "too late"?
A：您说“太晚了”是什么意思？

B: By that time, you will be fired.
B：那时候你就会被开除了。
