Dialogue 1.
W: I would like to send this package to the US.
M: Do you want to send it by sea or air?
W: How long will it take by sea?
M: About 2 to 3 months.
W: Oh, I will send it by air then.
Dialogue 2.
W: I want to send this package by first class mail.
M: Do you want it insured?
W: Yes, for 50 dollars, please. I’d also like some stamps.
M: You will have to get those at the stamp window over there next to general delivery.
W: Can I get money orders there, too?
M: No, that’s to the left.
Dialogue 3.
W: I’d like to mail this letter to China by certified mail.
M: You can’t send a letter overseas by certified mail. If you want you can register it.
W: How much does it cost to mail a registered letter to China?
M: It’s 6 dollars.
W: It will take longer for a registered letter to arrive at its destination. Is that right?
M: That’s correct.
W: Well, to be on the safe side I guess I will register it.
M: All right. Fill out this form, please.
Dialogue 4.
W: I want to send this package parcel post registered.
M: What does it contain?
W: There are books and manuscripts.
M: That will be 40 cents. Here are your stamps.
W: Thanks.
M: Wait a second, Miss.
W: Yes?
M: You forgot to put the return address on the package.
W: Oh, sorry. I will put it on right now.
M: Now, here is your receipt.
