1. run out of
用完;耗尽;
eg. They have run out of ideas.
他们已经想不出任何办法了。
eg. We're running out of time.
我们快没有时间了。
eg. By now the plane was running out of fuel.

2. set upon
突然攻击;袭击;
eg. We were set upon by about twelve youths and I was kicked unconscious.
