perplex=per（through）+ plex（fold）从头到眉折叠起来（生活啊就像一团麻，也有那解不开的小疙瘩），动词“使困惑，使糊涂，使费解”，例：I was perplexed by his contradictory behaviour.我被他自相矛盾的行为弄糊涂了。如a perplexing problem令人感到困惑的问题
同义词confuse=con（together）+ fus（pour）+ e各种各样不同的信息一齐倒进脑子里
1“使迷惑，使糊涂”，例：Don’t give me so much information, you are confusing me.不要给我这么多信息，都把我搞糊涂了。
2“使混淆”，例：Tom and his brother are so much alike that they even confuse their mother. Tom和他的兄弟长得太像了，以致他们的妈妈都会搞混。
