2008-01-06来源:
据国内媒体报道,NBA萨克拉门托国王队已经结束了中国篮球运动员刘玮的试训,而刘玮最终未能得到国王队的认可成为亚洲第一位在NBA打球的得分后卫。Chinese basketball player Liu Wei's quest to become Asia's first-ever point guard in the NBA has come to an end after he was cut from the roster of the Sacramento Kings, Chinese press reports said. The former point guard who once teamed with NBA All Star center Yao Ming on the Shanghai Sharks, was released by the Kings following a Saturday night pre-season match against the Charlotte Hornets, Titan sports reported. Liu only played in three of the King's six pre-season games, scoring two points and getting two assists and four rebounds in 34 minutes of playing time. The 24-year-old, six-foot-three (1.88 meter) guard also committed six fouls and six turnovers during his stint. The guard won praise by coach Rick Adelman and Houston coach Jeff Van Gundy during the NBA's first ever games in China earlier this month when he faced his former teammate Yao in games in Shanghai and Beijing.
