CRI听力:Finalists Picked for 'Best Job in World' On Paradise Island
Hopefuls for so called "Best job in the world" have arrived at the picturesque Hamilton Island of Australia, vying to be the temporary caretaker of the tropical paradise on Great Barrier Reef.
Sixteen contenders from 15 countries, selected from more than 30,000 entrants, will spend the next three days undertaking a series of tests to determine the ultimate winner.
"For me personally, though, my fascination is with fish and with the ocean."
"It's heaven on earth, I think."(www.hXen.com)
"I think you can almost oversell somewhere and drag too many people but it's something I can only find out when I get there."
The winner of the recruitment will spend 6 months being an island caretaker and writing a weekly blog about the resort, and will be paid 150 thousand Australian dollars, or more than 100 thousand US dollars, for the privilege.
Tourism Queensland launched its Best Job in the World competition in January in a bid to spark interest in Australia's sunshine state.
