CRI听力:Halep to Take on Garcia at APIA International
Home-town favorite Samantha Stosur is through to the 2nd round of the APIA International in Sydney following a 3-set victory over Italian Sara Errani.
Pueto Rico's Monica Puig has also advanced after a 3-set battle with Russian Magdalena Rybiarkova.
After having to withdraw from the Brisbane International last week, world number-2 Simona Halep will open her APIA International campaign with a second round meeting with Caroline Garcia on Tuesday.
"I just want to have a hard match, a difficult match to get used to this level. I know it's a very difficut first match of the year. But I'm pretty Ok. I'm pretty prepared for the tournament. Mentally I'm ok and hopefully physically I'll be ok at the same time."
Garcia comes into the match after downing Kristina Mladenovic in the first round.
