Australian Rules legend Graham Polly Farmer has died at the age of 84. Farmer played in three premierships for East Perth, before moving to Victoria to play with Geelong, where he won a VFL flag in 1963. He returned to WA in 1968 to play for West Perth, where he won another two WAFL premierships.
New South Wales Police are expected to charge a man after yesterday's murder and stabbing in Sydney's CBD. Police searched the home of 20-year-old Mert Ney this morning. He remains in hospital under police guard.

Researchers have found around 100 Jurassic-era volcanoes beneath hundreds of metres of rock in South Australia's north east. The volcanoes, found at the Cooper Eromanga Basins, date back around 160 million years and were only found because of advances in technology. They've been named after sportsman Shane Warne.
The Hong Kong airport authority has secured an injunction to stop protesters blocking operations, after flight schedules were again thrown into chaos. Police say they've arrested five people after last night's protests. Officials say they were detained for unlawful assembly, assaulting police officers and possessing weapons.
