ABC新闻:中国对美750亿美元商品加税 特朗普下令美国企业关闭在华业务

Wall Street has plunged more than 400 points following US President Donald Trump's reaction to new Chinese tariffs, on 75-billion dollars worth of American imports. The President took to Twitter, saying the remaining 300 billion dollars worth of Chinese goods being taxed on September first, would rise from 10 to 15 per cent. Mr Trump has also sent an order to American companies on social media, urging them to look at ways of closing their operations in China.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has headed to France for the G7 Summit after wrapping up a two-day trip to Vietnam. Mr Morrison will host two working sessions at the meeting on protecting the oceans, and digital security.
Under mounting international pressure, Brazil's President has signed off on measures to contain the record number of fires in the Amazon. Jair Bolsonaro has been widely criticised for suggesting environmental groups were to blame for starting the fires.
And Australia is in a commanding position at the end of day two of the third Ashes test at Headingley. England were spectacularly bowled out for 67 after Australia scored 179 in the first innings.
