Scott Morrison has echoed Donald Trump's call to have China's status as a developing nation removed, and face tougher trade obligations. In a speech in Chicago, Mr Morrison says China should not receive the concessions enjoyed by smaller countries because of its self-declared status with the World Trade Organisation. The federal opposition disagrees, saying China is still an emerging economy.
16 year old activist Greta Thunberg has stolen the show at the UN's climate summit with a powerful message on climate change. Her speech, slamming world leaders for failing to act on the environment, has put the planet's plight into sharp focus. More than 50 leaders took part in the summit, although Donald Trump and Scott Morrison did not attend.
Paypal Australia says it's co-operating with regulators to investigate whether its online payment platform is being used by child exploitation rings in Asia. The company has also appointed an external auditor who will assess whether Paypal has complied with anti-money laundering laws. The financial crimes watchdog AUSTRAC says it's had ongoing concerns about compliance.
And West Coast Eagles star Willie Rioli is in hot water again after failing a second drug test. Rioli tested positive for cannabis after the Eagles victory over Essendon earlier this month. The 24 year old also faces allegations of substituting urine in a previous test.
