Qantas has confirmed it has found cracks in three of its Boeing 737s, after completing an audit this week. The airline says 33 planes were inspected, three were found to have a hairline crack in the pickle fork structure, which strengthens the connection between the wing and the body of the plane. The aircraft will undergo repair and will likely be grounded until the end of the year.
Two New South Wales Police officers are facing possible disciplinary action for racially abusing two women in Western Sydney. The driver and her step-mother, who had recently migrated from Afghanistan were pulled over because police suspected one of them wasn't wearing a seat belt. They were ordered out of their car and threatened. A report by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission found both officers engaged in serious misconduct.

The Pakistani Prime Minister has ordered an investigation into a train fire which has killed at least 74 people. The blaze is thought to have been caused by gas cookers which were being used in breach of passenger rules. The fire engulfed three carriages, 43 people were injured, eleven critically.
And house and apartment values have continued to rise for a fourth consecutive month, driven overwhelmingly by a rapid recovery in Sydney and Melbourne. Figures released by Corelogic for October show the nation's median property price has risen by more than 1 per cent to $530,000. Prices rose in every capital city, except Perth, which fell by about half a per cent.
