The US President Donald Trump has given his first extended interview since the impeachment inquiry hearings began, launching a tirade against Democrats, the news media and Ukraine. During the more than 50-minute long phone call on Fox News, president Trump declared he would like an impeachment trial in the Senate, if the House of Representatives votes to impeach him.
The people of Bougainville will head to the polls today to vote on whether they want independence from Papua New Guinea. The poll is the result of an almost 20 year old peace agreement, that brought an end to a civil war which killed up to 20 thousand people.
