ABC新闻:全球新冠肺炎确诊病例累计超1000万例
Ten million coronavirus cases have now been recorded worldwide, as countries around the globe continue to battle the deadly disease. Australian authorities are considering locking down individual Melbourne suburbs to prevent a spike in cases from spiralling out of control. The federal government says an outbreak — which saw 90 new cases reported in Melbourne over the weekend — is not indicative of a "second wave" of the disease in Australia, and was to be expected.
There have been very different scenes on the other side of the country, with many Perth residents enjoying their first night out in months. Hundreds of people lined up outside nightlubs, casinos and pubs as they re-opened over the weekend. WA has now entered phase four in easing coronavirus restrictions — with most business re-opening. And South Australians will be allowed to attend large events for the first time in three months from today. People can head back to nightclubs, football matches, festivals as well as take part in indoor exercise classes, so long as physical distancing protocols are maintained.
And Hawthorn has climbed to fourth on the ladder with a four point win over North Melbourne. The Hawks led by 21 points heading into the final quarter but North Melbourne kicked the last three goals of the game.
