Border pressure is back in the spotlight this morning, as Melbourne's coronavirus outbreak has been linked to new cases in both New South Wales, and the Northern Territory. Victorian authorities have warned there will be more deaths, and haven't ruled out extending the lockdown past the 36 suburbs currently under stay-at-home orders. The state's public transport union is calling for mandatory use of face-masks by all Melbourne commuters. And testing has been ramped up at interstate airports and train stations that Victorians are traveling through.
A former girlfriend of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been charged after being arrested by the FBI. 58-year-old Ghislaine Maxwell is accused of helping to lure underage girls, who were then sexually abused by her and Epstein. Maxwell has previously denied any involvement. Prince Andrew is said to have introduced Ms Maxwell to Epstien in 1999.

The ABC is standing behind investigative reporter Dan Oakes after the federal police asked prosecutors to consider charging the journalist. Police raided the ABC's Sydney offices last year over a series of articles which revealed misconduct allegations about Australian special forces in Afghanistan. ABC managing director David Anderson says the AFP is referring allegations against journalist Dan Oakes to the commonwealth director of public prosecutions. He's described the move as "disappointing and disturbing."
