Actress Carrie Fisher who found enduring fame as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise has died. Fisher had been hospitalized since Friday after suffering a medical emergency on board a flight to LA. She was 60 years old.

Days after a Russian military plane crashed into the Black Sea, rescue workers on Tuesday discovered a flight recorder from the downed jet about a mile from the shore. The plane crashed just two minutes after taking off from the southern Russian city of Sochi.

Several brawls inside shopping malls broke out just one day after the Christmas holiday. Shoppers were seen running to exits as fights in Illinois and Texas broke out amid huge crowds.

And thousands of people attended the 15th birthday celebration of a rural Mexican girl on Monday after her party invitation went viral. Crowds cheered as the birthday girl Rubi Ibarra danced on stage alongside a band.
