This is AP News Minute.

The White House promising more economic and political pressure toward North Korea following the death of Otto Warmbier. The University of Virginia student died Monday after being imprisoned and returned home by the regime in a coma.

The Trump administration also said Tuesday that a travel ban to North Korea is being seriously considered. Meanwhile, some US senetors are considering banning travel to North Korea. A bipartisan bill is being discussed that will prohibit all financial transactions related to travel to the North.

Georgia voters lined up at the polls Tuesday to decide the most expensive House race in US history. Democrat Jon Ossoff is running against Republican Karen Handel to claim a seat that's been held by a Republican since 1979. The match-up is seen as a proxy for the national political atmosphere and a test of GOP strength, prompting the record-breaking spending that could exceed 50 million dollars.

And in Minnesota, a race horse decides to take a shortcut. Canterbury Race Track said the horse named "Tiz A Princess" threw her rider on Sunday and leapt into the middle of the track. She later jumped on course and had a near miss with the other horses. The race was declared a no-contest.
