Protests erupting throughout the Middle East on Sunday in response to President Donald Trump decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Clashes broke out on the Israeli/Gaza border. In Jerusalem, a security guard was seriously wounded after being stabbed near the city's central bus station.
A candlelit procession through the streets of Norway after this year's Nobel Peace Prize was awarded in Oslo. This year's prize goes to the international campaign to abolish nuclear weapons, known as ICAN. Among the speakers at the ceremony, a survivor of the 1945 bombing of Hiroshima. So far 56 countries have signed the ICAN treaty.
A flare-up on the western edge of southern California's largest wildfire sent more residents fleeing Sunday as high winds fanned the flames. Forecasters expect those winds to continue at least through Monday evening. Overall, fires have destroyed nearly 800 homes and other buildings and forced more than 200,000 people from their homes.
And Spain's number one Santa is fit. This is the winner of Madrid's annual Santa Claus charity run. Seven thousand runners showed up for the event on Sunday. Runners completed the 5K in full Santa gear. The proceeds support a local cancer charity.
