President Donald Trump is on his way to Japan to attend the annual Group of 20 Nations Summit. The trip is shrouded with issues that include escalating tensions with Iran, stalled negotiations over reducing North Korea's nuclear capabilities and the trade dispute with China.
The House Oversight Committee approved a subpoena to force White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway to appear before the panel after she didn't show up for a Wednesday hearing. They are looking into allegations that she repeatedly violated a federal law that limits political activity by government workers.
And the first half of 20 democrats looking to oust President Trump in 2020, gather in Miami to debate Wednesday night. The back-to-back Democratic presidential debates are filled with participants that range widely in age, sex and backgrounds and include a former vice president, 6 women and a pair of mayors.
And tourists and locals in Paris are seeking relief from rare high temperatures that are expected to reach 102 degrees. People can be seen splashing in fountains across from the Eiffel Tower or other city sites or cracking open fire hydrants to cool off.
