George Floyd's brother is challenging congress to "stop the pain," testifying on Capitol Hill that Floyd's death should not be in vain. Philonise Floyd testified Wednesday at a House hearing on police reform. He asked lawmakers to make sure his brother is not "another name" on a growing list of those killed during interactions with police.

The Senate unanimously confirmed General Charles Brown Jr. as the U.S. Air Force chief of staff, making him the first black officer to lead one of the nation's military services. Vice president Mike Pence, presiding over the vote, called the moment “historic."
President Donald Trump says he is ruling out changing the name of army bases named for confederate army officers. This comes two days after Defense Secretary Mark Esper indicated he is open to a discussion of such changes, which have been urged by prominent retired army officers and others.
The Federal Reserve says it will keep buying bonds to maintain low borrowing rates and support the U.S. economy in the midst of a recession. And it says nearly all the FED's policymakers foresee no rate hike through 2020. The Fed has cut its benchmark short-term rate to near zero.
