A massive winter storm has left more than four million people in Texas without power. At least two people have died, and temperatures dropped into single digits as far south as San Antonio.

Areas across the South and Midwest are also dealing with frigid winter weather and dangerous icy roads. Kentucky officials warned residents not to drive, while Chicago and Milwaukee are expecting deep snow.

Large numbers of people are gathering at US-Mexico border, falsely believing they can enter the US., now that Donald Trump is no longer president. President Biden has not lifted the major restrictions on asylum seekers.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio rode a subway with city police officers, to send a message that the transit system is safe. Four people have recently been stabbed in subway trains and stations. Two of them died. A suspect is under arrest.
