whoever有两个用法，一是引导名词性从句（如主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句），二是用于引导让步状语从句。

1)用于引导名词性从句

Whoever comes will be welcome. 任何人来都欢迎。

Whoever wants the book may have it. 任何人要这书都可拿去。

Give it to whoever you like. 把它送给你愿送的任何人。

She can marry whoever she chooses. 她愿意嫁谁就嫁谁。

Send it to whoever pays the hills. 谁付款，就把这个给谁送去。

Whoever told you that was lying. 不管这话是谁对你说的，都是撒谎。

Whoever gains the most points wins the competition. 谁得分最多，谁就赢得比赛。

Whoever gets home first starts cooking the supper. 谁先到家，谁就开始做晚饭。

Whoever gets the job will have a lot of work. 谁要是得到这份工作就有很多事要做。

Whoever cleans your windows doesn’t make a good job of it. 不管是谁擦洗你的窗户，他都没干好。

He gave whoever asked for it a copy of his latest paper. 不论谁要，他都将他最近写的论文给他一份。

Whoever had come up with this idea deserved a medal. 无论是何人提出这个主意都该获得奖牌。

Whoever got the fewest answers right had to make the tea. 无论是谁，只要回答问题对的最少，这次都必须去沏茶。

2)用于引导让步状语从句

Whoever says so, it’s not true. 不管是谁说的，这话不真实。

He won’t eat you, whoever he is. 不管他是谁，他也不能把你吃掉。

Whoever comes, tell them to go away. 不管谁来，都叫他走。

I’m not opening the door, whoever you are. 不管你是谁，我不会开门的。

Whoever directed this film, it’s not much good. 不管是谁导演的，这部影片不怎么样。

【注意1】whoever还可用于加强语气，相当于who ever, who on earth等。如：

Whoever told you such a ridiculous story? 这荒谬的故事是谁给你讲的?

【注意2】Whoever有时可用所有格形式。如：

These are mostly vegetarian meals cooked by whoever’s turn it is that day. 这些基本上是素餐，当天轮到谁，谁就来烧。
