A lawsuit brought by Ukraine against Russia for allegedly violating U.N conventions by financing separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine will be heard by the U.N's top court. Kiev also accused Moscow of discriminating against Tatar's unoccupied Crimea. There has been no immediate reaction from Moscow.
A Spanish court has authorized the extradition to United Nations of a former Venezuelan general, who headed the counterintelligence under president Maduro and his predecessor Hugo Chávez. Hugo Carvajal was arrested in April at the request of Washington on drug trafficking charges.
A Brazilian judge has ordered the release of former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Supporters have been gathering outside the prison in the city of Curitiba where he has been held for the last year on the corruption charges.
