漫画高价拍卖 蝙蝠侠击败超人
Holy comic book Batman. A mere three days after a Superman comic’s sold for a record $1,000,000, Batman gets revenge. The 1939 comic book in which Batman made his debut sold Thursday afternoon for $1,075,000 at an auction gallery in Dallas. And before Monday the record for a comic book sale was just over $300,000 but "pow" very rare editions of Superman and Batman destroying that record this week.
Now the book that's sold yesterday to an anonymous buyer marked the debut of “The Batman” as he was originally called in a six-page story in Detective Comics No. 27. According to the auction gallery, the Batman comic was owned for decades and kept in an excellent condition by a collector who purchased it for a hundred dollars 40 years ago. It's one of just two known Detective No.27 Comics certified at a grade of 8.0 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Ed Jaster, the VP of Heritage Auction Galleries where batman sold called the sale a pleasant surprise but not all that shocking. He says this is the best copy he has seen in his nearly 40 plus years of being around comic books. He says collectors who’ve been around for a while know that these kinds of opportunities come up only so often.
Jaster says there are currently about two dozen comic pieces that could challenge the record million dollar prices this week for Batman and Superman. And if the latest week proves anything, that's that some comic enthusiasts certainly are not faced by this tough economic times. Perhaps they are channeling the bravery of their favorite Superheroes.
