Taiwan musician Fan Zongpei's 2004 album "The Color of Water" is an instrumental album made distinct by its allusion to the traditional Chinese vocal art of "Ping Tan".

台湾音乐家范宗沛2004年专辑“水色”是一张纯音乐专辑，其中引入了中国独特的曲艺“评弹”。

Ping Tan performances usually mix speaking and singing, and are accompanied by percussion instruments and sometimes also plucked or bowed string instruments.

平弹表演通常是说唱混合，同时和着打击乐器，有时还会以弦乐器伴奏。

Unlike Shuo Chang in northern China, which is more comedic and loud, Ping Tan performances are quieter and smoother.

与北方的幽默和大声说唱不同，平弹的表演更安静、流畅。

Fan Zongpei, who started to play cello at 4 and even made Cello his alias, somehow found a common nature shared by Ping Tan and cello playing.

范宗沛4岁起就开始拉大提琴，连英文名都为Cello 。无意间他发现了平弹与大提琴间的共性。

The musician is most famous for composing scores for films and TV series, which he often does.
